Impingement Monitoring

ECSI has been closely involved in the designing, monitoring, and assessment of Section 316(a) and (b) and NPDES resource impacts associated with impingement and entrainment operations at numerous Delaware Bay and River water intake facilities since 1977.  ECSI has a professional staff of scientists and technicians experienced in the specialized biological sampling associated with the operation of intake screening devices.  The ECSI staff is experienced in the processing of impingement samples, holding fish and invertibrates for latent impingement mortality, conducting collection efficiency sampling, and other impingement related studies. We have worked with modified Ristroph Fish Handling Traveling Screens, Traditional Ristroph Traveling Screens, Geiger Traveling Screens, Standard Bar Racks, and Cylindrical Wedgewire Intake Arrays.
